A few years ago we had our 3 traction elevators modernized by one of the large, global elevator companies. Ever since the elevators were completed the Association experienced multiple problems with the reliability of the elevators. The Association hired various elevator consultants and also switched to other elevator maintenance companies hoping things would get better. The Regional Director of our management company recommended Balagan Consulting as a resource to help us work with our current elevator company as the Board was reluctant to just switch elevator companies again. Our building had water damage that caused one of our elevators to not be able to operate for some floors in our building for over two months. This is a particular issue for us as our private elevators open directly into our residents units and not a common hallway like more traditional buildings where multiple elevators can provide access to a particular floor. Hurricane Ian caused extensive damage to our property, including our elevators.
